The video I was tasked with watching was filled with constructive information on design thinking, in my own words, I would say design thinking is undergoing a creative process to successfully understand the needs of a certain product. Design thinking is a hot topic when it comes to marketing, every company would most likely have a team dedicated to this role so it's always key to keep it in mind for anything. Social media is always changing and adapting, so having design thinking skills is one thing that may help you tackle things like product design or project work; different social media companies are always thinking of ways to engage their users and having design thinking skills will be essential for this role. All digital media projects should apply design thinking so the team has an ethical way of gathering their information to gauge the audience, research the needs and wants but also ease the quality of life for the user, have prototypes and finally run tests on the diagnostics required.

Firstly in pre-production, there are a few things you will need and they are making sure your script is finished to the best of your creativity because this will take time if you are planning to go big with your project. Then you will need to gather the right cast because I would argue that the cast and how they deliver the script can be more important than the actual script, after the script and crew are gathered you must then decide on the setting. This is so important but you can hire a location scout to find a place for you (yes they exists, took me by surprise too) and when these pivotal components come together then you can move into phase two. This is known as the production phase and this is when shooting actually takes place and actors finally deliver the script to perfection and after all the video footage has been captured, move onto the final stage and that's post-production. Post-production entails hours and hours of searching through the raw footage, assembling it together, adding sound effects, music and dubbing if necessary. After watching the videos I have now obtained new information not only about design thinking but information about production and I hope to use these skills for my upcoming projects.

 Introduction As of late I read an article about active reading and how the educational system breads children from a young age to get familiar with it. Active reading is the process of asking questions while reading or analyzing  any written piece of text, however there are two views of active reading. One study (done by Kintsch and van Dijk) indicated that active reading is something that can be foreseen by thoroughly examining the text structure.  However others thought differently, they claimed that there are four factors that influence the effectiveness of active reading and those are what material are you covering, how you plan to learn the material you have read, how much time it takes for you to learn what you've read and the characteristics of the learner.
