Technological evolution
Technological evolution
For this weeks task I watched a couple videos about technology advancements and evolution, what I adore about the topic is seeing how our ancestors developed society bye making these small but amazing advancements with technology. Over the years it is clear to see how fast humanity has gone form point A to B, it's fantastic to imagine how Alexander Gramh Bell invented the first telephone. Henry ford with the very first car the graced humanutitys presence with the ford model T; now we have the fastest computer known to man, the quantum computer.
The second video was based on the history of media literacy, I don't not find this video as interesting as the first howere their was one quote that caught my eye. “The history of media literacy follows the history of media technology- with each new invention discussions and fears follow”. This was intriguing to me because it's seen even in today's world, the elderly folk who aren't so tech savvy sometimes have a fear of media and the Internet. So they look towards old media to keep up to day with the news, instead of googling what's the weather they would rather tune in on the radio to get the forecast.
The last video was about the digital predictions for 2030, this was extremely important because the ideas and predictions are going to take humanity to another level. The interactive holographic user interface will allow us design and plan extravagant ideas. With all these new ideas coming into play it raises some serious years and questions like how intelligent will the A.I be and will some jobs be completely replaced by robots rendering some jobless. Furthermore, there are things that we may need to consider but if the prediction comes true humanity will defiantly be able to evolve to the next stage in life; the new tech will keep us linked together. Another query is will the advancement of technology help the earth and it's constant developing of problems- like being able to rebuild or design new eco systems that will allow stability in some places.
I really enjoyed this weeks video task because I find the advancements of humans is pivitol for first/second/third world problems; don’t you think so too?
