This week I dug deeper into cancel culture and online shamming but specifically David Dobrik who I briefly covered in my other production blog Starting out but I also wan to reflect  upon all my research so far as a group and future expectations. 

Dobrik has suffered his fare share of backlash within the past few years still even to this day he gets criticised here and there. June 2017 Dobrik released a video where he pranks one of the vlog squad members into kissing a girl but it was actually a guy, he was blindfolded so he had no idea. Seth Francois stated that this was sexual assault, David took Seth’s response seriously and posted an apology video a week later. David received massive backlash for this incident but nothing major affected his channel, all he did was take the video down and apologise. This is what I have gathered so far as my research has been quit advantageous, my groups plan was to split up for the start of the process and so now I will share my thoughts so far. The next phase will be see what to prioritise, in my opinion I think we should focus on the animation use of adobe software to help give the presentation the backbones. This will also allow us to gather the results of all our research, so we can also start putting together a script, and process all our information.

One detail I noticed is the ability to create small avatars as us so it’s not just sentences of information on the screen and then we should have a few clips of videos with the victims of online shamming and cancel culture. I think my role will be writing a script and doing a little bit of animation.
 
So far I think my project is slowly piecing itself bit by bit, it's exciting to see how the process of our work and effort going into it. I hope you have gained a helpful insight by reading this blog and maybe you can use your new knowledge to apply to your own project.

 Peer review  This weeks peer review tasks were interesting to write comments about the article was of use to me,  Feedback . However it was too long and took me too long to even skim through, I did try to use different reading techniques. From my first blog I’m trying to learn how to properly phrase my sentences and use different methods of writing. I learned that commas aren’t the only thing I can use to separate my sentences, for example brackets/commas; and dashes- may be used to separate sentences. Introducing myself. Hello people my name is Donell Usher, my friends used to call me Nelly for short until it got old.  Introduction As of late I read an article about active reading and how the educational system breads children from a young age to get familiar with it. Active reading is the process of asking questions while reading or analyzing  any written piece of text, however there are two views of active reading. One study (done by Kintsch and van Dijk) indicated that active reading is something that can be foreseen by thoroughly examining the text structure.  However others thought differently, they claimed that there are four factors that influence the effectiveness of active reading and those are what material are you covering, how you plan to learn the material you have read, how much time it takes for you to learn what you've read and the characteristics of the learner.
